These Terms govern your use of Kreo, a Philippine online marketplace that connects brands and individuals ("Clients") with content creators ("Creators"). Kreo is a platform operator — it owns no creator content and employs no Creators. By creating an account or using Kreo you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, do not use Kreo.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under Philippine law. You may register as a business or as an individual Client, or apply as a Creator.
Creators and business Clients are vetted before they can transact — Creators must be approved to be listed, and Clients must be approved before posting a campaign. You agree to provide accurate, current information, to keep your login secure, and you are responsible for all activity under your account.
Clients post campaigns and engage Creators through per-Creator contracts. When a Creator signs, the Client funds the agreed fee into Kreo before work begins. Kreo holds these funds as a facilitation/escrow service and releases them to the Creator only once deliverables are accepted, less Kreo's service commission (see §7).
At this stage, deposits and payouts are settled manually via GCash: the Client sends the agreed amount to Kreo's GCash account and uploads proof; Kreo confirms receipt before work starts. Kreo is not a bank or e-money issuer and does not pay interest on held funds.
Creators deliver against the agreed brief and timeline. Each deliverable is reviewed individually; a Client may accept it or request a minor revision. The Creator's full fee is released only once every deliverable on the contract is accepted. Partial completion is settled proportionally.
An admin-validated cancellation pays the Creator a "kill fee" scaled to the milestone reached at cancellation (for example: none before work starts, and increasing shares once a draft is submitted, a draft is approved, and finals are delivered). The balance is refunded to the Client. This compensates Creators for work already performed.
Either party may open a dispute on an in-progress contract, which freezes escrow until a Kreo admin rules — full release to the Creator, a partial split, or a refund to the Client. Rulings are final for the purpose of releasing escrowed funds; they do not limit any right you may have under applicable law. A Creator found at fault receives a strike; three strikes result in delisting.
Released fees accrue to the Creator's Kreo wallet. Creators enrol a GCash or bank payout account and request withdrawals (subject to a minimum amount). Kreo processes approved withdrawals manually and records the reference. Creators are responsible for the accuracy of their payout details.
Kreo charges a service commission of 10% on each completed contract, deducted from the amount released to the Creator. Registration is free. You are solely responsible for your own taxes, including any income tax, VAT, percentage tax, or withholding obligations arising from your use of Kreo.
Creators who meet the eligibility threshold may apply for a verified badge by submitting a government-issued ID and a selfie holding that ID. Kreo reviews and, at its discretion, grants the badge. A badge indicates identity verification only — not an endorsement of quality — and may be revoked for misuse or misrepresentation.
Arranging work or payment off-platform to avoid Kreo's commission, or sharing contact details to do so, is prohibited. A first offense is a warning; repeat offenses may result in a Client ban or Creator delisting.
You retain rights to content you own and grant the counterparty the licence agreed in each campaign. You will not post or deliver unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or misleading material, and you represent that you have the rights to the content you submit. Kreo's name, marks, and platform are its property.
You will not: provide false information or impersonate others; abuse, harass, or discriminate; upload malware; scrape or reverse-engineer the platform; attempt to defeat vetting, escrow, or rate limits; or use Kreo for any unlawful purpose.
Kreo may suspend or terminate an account for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, or legal risk. You may stop using Kreo and request deletion at any time (see the Privacy Policy). Obligations relating to in-flight contracts, escrowed funds, fees, and dispute outcomes survive termination.
Kreo is provided "as is" and "as available." Kreo is not a party to the agreement between a Client and a Creator beyond operating escrow, vetting, and dispute mediation, and does not guarantee the quality, legality, or outcome of any campaign. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kreo's aggregate liability arising from a contract is limited to the commission Kreo earned on that contract. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Philippine law.
You agree to indemnify Kreo against third-party claims arising from your content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Philippines, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections.
We process personal data under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms; material changes will be surfaced in-app, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Questions about these Terms: legal@kreo.ph.
